| | Vista Sound Scheme Won't Play My .wav Files I recently got a new laptop and have wanted to replace the Sound Scheme of Vista (Home Edition Premium) but after having gone back to the site I get all my .wavs from, I've discovered that it will not play them even after thay are assigned. When I click on them in their folder or even right-clicking on them and selecting play from the Sound Scheme selection windows they will open up and play through WMP like any other audio file but if I try to press the "Play"/preview button after assigning it to "Maximize" (for example)..... nuthin'. The only other thing I saw that gave me any kind of indication that there must be some button click to fix this is that when I checked the Properties there was a notation at the bottom stating something to the effect of "This file was downloaded from another computer and has been blocked to prevent... yadda yadda." and there's a button to "Unblock", the message dissappears but the .wav will STILL not play through the sound scheme. Any help would be nice. I'm going nutz not being able to know what any given sound means from the next room....! |
