when u add effects like slowdown. is there a way to add that affect only to a
part of the slide?

What do you mean by slide?
Most poeople would mean a still image, so ou wouldn't be able to slow it
down.

If you mean to a video clip, do you mean to one side of it, such as the
left, which you can't do.
Or, to the first part of a clip, which you can do, by splitting the clip
when you want the effect to start or end and then adding the effect to the
part of the clip you want.
