| | Re: Movie Maker Blue screen crash I Belive my video driver to be current, my NB pc is less than 2 months old and make sure i get and install all my downloads. File types i use MP3 wma for audio (which have worked on other Movies i made) Picture file types mainly Jpeg. Only thing i can think of is that this movie is longer and more files used to make it in the end. I have made, or making other movies that dont crash my system. I plan on starting over to see if maybe the Saved Project became corrupted. from memory the blue screen has said Memory management as one of the issues, and IRQL (or something like that) not equal or lesser. cant remember exactly. -- Help 1 "John Inzer" wrote: > confrustrated wrote: > > My windows mOVIE MAKER is crashing my vista home premium, nto sure > > what info would be helpful for you to have to help me. just > > completely frustrated right now, I have tried to continue a movie > > project 3 times now and I keep getting a blue screen right away after > > a few changes to my, what I hope will be a short video, unless i give > > up on it.. > ================================= > What file types are you using in the project? > > Is your video driver current? > > -- > > John Inzer > MS Picture It! - > Digital Image MVP > > Digital Image > Highlights and FAQs > http://tinyurl.com/aczzp > > Notice > This is not tech support > I am a volunteer > > Solutions that work for > me may not work for you > > Proceed at your own risk > > > |

Try reducing your Graphics Hardware Acceleration and if the problem improves... you need to update your video driver. Once the driver is updated...return your acceleration to Full. (272193) PI: How to Troubleshoot Graphics Issues http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=272193 (scroll down to : Windows Vista) Go to the support website of your video adapter's mfg. and search for Vista compatible drivers. If you don't know the make and model of your video adapter...check the documentation that came with the computer. Also you could try these steps... Go to...Start / Search...type... msinfo32 ...press enter. On the System Information screen...choose... Components / Display / Adapter Description You should find the make and model of your display adapter as well as the driver version. If the driver on the support website is more current than the one you are running... download it and install it. Also you should find installation instructions at the support site. MP3s and JPEGs can cause issues.... have a look at the following article: File type compatibility with Movie Maker http://tinyurl.com/v8tee -- John Inzer MS Picture It! - Digital Image MVP Digital Image Highlights and FAQs http://tinyurl.com/aczzp Notice This is not tech support I am a volunteer Solutions that work for me may not work for you Proceed at your own risk |
