my hp pavillion webcam

i am having trouble opening my webcam when i am at yahoo messenger
there is no icon or anyway to turn my cam on when i am online there.i have
to change screen to my media plaer turn the cam on go back and the light is
on but the cam is notopen so that others can veiew and i cannot veiw others.
please help ! HP Pavillion Entertainment laptop

Yahoo Messenger is not fully compatible with Vista yet. They are working on an
update to be released soon. It looks pretty nifty from the preview.

Can you use Windows Live Messenger?

How do you turn ON the webcam? When i am on Live messenger, and choose:
``make a new videoconversation``. Then a error comes up: ``You are using the
webcamera in another program, or it is not turned ON``....
What do i do? I have Pavilion Entertainment PC dv6000, and intergrated
webcam..

You can only use a webcam with one program at a time..
Do you have any other programs that may be using it? Like Skype, ICQ, etc.?

No, i`m only using Windows Media player.. The webcam worked couple of days
ago, but after i used Counter Strike the error showed.

I have the same problem with using my webcam in MSN Live Messenger even
though i dont use it in any other program. If anyone have any solution for
you might need to know what pc i have so its a HP Pavilon tx1270eo
