| | MPEG-2 Output from WMM Is it possible to create a profile that will permit WMM to create an mpg file in MPEG-2 format? I have Windows Media Profile Editor installed but obviously I need to do more in order to be able to select an MPEG-2 codec. Bypassing WMM altogether is not an option since it would take a tremendous amount of time to recreate the custom effects that I did for this video. |

| | Re: MPEG-2 Output from WMM I should also add that I don't want to convert wmv to mpg since I have more conversions to do and I don't want to lose any quality in advance. | | Re: MPEG-2 Output from WMM If you're using the Home Premium or Ultimate versions of Vista, you can skip the step of saving to a movie file and go right to MPEG2 using DVD Maker. Open the Movie Maker project file in DVD Maker and burn a disc.... the VOB files on the disc will be MPEG-2. -- website references are to www.papajohn.org PapaJohn "EvanBarr" <a@b.com> wrote in message news:OPs9Uz91HHA.5164@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... >I should also add that I don't want to convert wmv to mpg since I have more >conversions to do and I don't want to lose any quality in advance. > > > "EvanBarr" <a@b.com> wrote in message > news:ufYCyu91HHA.3788@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... >> Is it possible to create a profile that will permit WMM to create an mpg >> file in MPEG-2 format? >> >> I have Windows Media Profile Editor installed but obviously I need to do >> more in order to be able to select an MPEG-2 codec. >> >> Bypassing WMM altogether is not an option since it would take a >> tremendous amount of time to recreate the custom effects that I did for >> this video. > |
