Vista - wmp11 wont play any songs or video.new install.

I have just reinstalled vista home premium and now in wmp11 none of the songs
or video which comes with the player will work.
i get the pop up box stating:-cannot play the file,might not support the
file type or the codec used to compress it.
Help someone please.!!!!

OK.sorted i found the answer in the troubleshooting page.

Hi, I have the same problem and still cannot figure out what I am supposed to
do. I am not sure if I am supposed to download another Media Player program
for Vista. Please help.

when the box pops up click on web help.Go to f.a.q. scroll down to your
problem and apply the answer.
