| | Re: garbled sound I haven't read much about that particular audio adapter in these newsgroups, but you might want to try this: First: Control Panel (Classic view) > Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers, right click the device and select Properties, does it show any problems with the device? If it says "This device is working properly", right click on the Speaker icon in the Notification Area of the Taskbar, select Playback Devices, right click in the window and select both "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices". Highlight Speakers, press Properties button, and if there is something like "Disable all audio enhancements", check that, or uncheck any enhancements that are enabled. This *might* help. Good luck. -- I Bleed Blue and Gold GO BEARS!
