| | Windows Media Library doesn't work My windows media player 11 used to work perfectly (in Windows Vista Home Premium) but now it does not work, I don't know why. I believe it can be related with 'network sharing' because one day it appeared an error message saying something about network sharing and that it was going to be closed. From then on wmp library has never worked again. I tried to add files by myself, but once again it didn't work. I can play music and videos without any problem, but those are never added to the library. Windows Media Center library does not work either and I don't know how to solve this problem. I would be more than glad if anyone could give me any solution. Thanks |

| | RE: Windows Media Library doesn't work Hi! I bring good news! I've found a solution to the problem!. Perhaps it is not the "rightmost" solution, but it works. If you delete wmp's data base, it will create a new one which works; it just deletes the information of the library, but it doesn't delete the music. If you want to delete your wmp's database you have to: select "show hidden files" or something like that, then go to: C:\Users\José Ángel\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player\ then delete all the archives. Perhaps the computer will not allow you to delete, but if you start windows in safe mode, it will work. Once you delete everything, wmp will create a new library. That's all folks! | | Re: Windows Media Library doesn't work If you need to do that, please make sure you get the Cumulative WMP update for Vista-- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941651/en-us which should make it much less likely that this would happen again. <3, -Zach -- Speaking for myself only.
