| | RE: media player 11 Following is a copy of what I sent my Dell Tech Rep. This procedure effectively reinstalls WMP even though you can't uninstall it via the Control Panel. Although the instructions in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925718/en-us would not work for me, I used Windows Explorer to get to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player. I then delete the Media Player folder. Started the Task Manager and shut off the WMP process. Clicked on Windows Media Player; it started and rebuilt itself. clp "scousergraeme" wrote: > cant get my media player to work when i want to play an mpeg file or mp3 file > ,its installed on my computer but wont start up ,running vista 32 bit version > ,only just recently happenned ,any ideas please > > cheers graeme |

| | Re: media player 11 That process rebuilds the library. While a broken/corrupt library should stop anything form appearing in WMP's library, it shouldn't stop WMP from actually loading. =\ -- Speaking for myself only.
