| | Video Capture/Import Problems I have Vista home premium and a pretty high spec machine that has already been used to capture video from my DV camcorder. However, recently I have been getting a problem. When I connect the camcorder (mains powered, connected by firewire and in playback mode) I get the usual camera recognised noise and autoplay comes up suggesting a digital video device. However, whether I choose to capture or import I then get another error box advising that a "compatible device" couldn't be found. I've checked the firewire cable and the card, I have the latest OHCI compliant drivers. As I've said I have already used the DV camcorder to import a number of tapes. Any ideas would be welcome - I'm lost for a solution. Mark |

| | Re: Video Capture/Import Problems You can try this: Locate the file INFCACHE.1 in C:\Windows\inf Right click on the INFCACHE.1 file, select Properties >Security > Edit, and give your account full control. Delete INFCACHE.1, or rename it to INFCACHE.1.BAK or temporarily move to your desktop. REBOOT -- I Bleed Blue and Gold GO BEARS!
