| | Import pictures into preexisting folder? Hi, Everytime I import pictures from my camera card, it creates a new folder. So I have tons of folders and it's very unorganized. Is there a way to choose which file folder I'd like to put the pictures in? Thanks! |

| | RE: Import pictures into preexisting folder? I figured it out. I just bypass autoplay and go to the file. Thanks. | 32bit vista home premuim-SP2 | Re: Import pictures into preexisting folder? A lot of newer cameras don't do what you mention, they do not re-zero the numbering system even after you erase the pictures on the camera.. If yours does re-zero, I suggest after uploading them to a folder "batch" rename them with the date and names. Something like "00_someone's wedding June 14" , this will make things easier to find later. I upload my pictures to a temp new folder and batch rename them then "cut" and "paste" them to my picture folder. Cutting and pasting is instantaneous as it just changes the address of that folder to the other folder. You are not really moving them, just telling the computer where they are. |
