| Vista Ultimate x64 | Tip: swap from x32 to x64 WMP If you've got a x64 machine and you're running x64 Vista, here's a tip to convert your WMP into a x64 app: If you want to use the 64bit version of WMP as the default player on Vista 64-bit, run "unregmp2.exe /SwapTo:64" from an ELEVATED (admin) cmd.exe prompt and then set registry value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\wmplayer.exe, "Path" to be "%Programfiles%\Windows Media Player". To undo the above, reset the "Path" value and then run "unregmp2.exe /SwapTo:32" from an elevated cmd.exe prompt. Confirm the change through the processes tab of task manager. |

| Windows Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Tip: swap from x32 to x64 WMP Media Player 11 performance is great when run in 64-Bit. Just to take full advantage of this, you'll also ned to use 64-Bit Codecs, which I found at Vista Codec Package Homepage |
