When you copied them from the CD, did you change them from read-only?
What are the extensions on these file types?
IIRC, one poster, who had this problem, discovered that if he renamed the
files from .jpg to .jpeg, then they could be seen...
You might try downloading Irfanview, and open a file, and hit "i" to see
what it says about the compression format.
