| | DVD maker video recording I am trying to make a DVD video to send to family. I have created all the clips successfully in WMV format using windows movie maker. I then made menus etc to make a decent looking DVD to send family some videos. I am trying to record onto DVD R discs. THese work fine if I copy files for back up using windows explorer. when I try to creat the DVD, it goes through the encoding process, and once completed (takes about 2hrs for 100mins of video), just as it starts initialising the disk, it bombs out with just a message saying there was an error with no further info. I have tried using NERO instead, but still get an error. Since explorer works OK on the same disks, it is clearly not a hardware / compatibility problem. (the DVD writer is a LITEON 20X RW + RAM) Thanks in advance for any advice. Regards DRBE |

The general rule is 1 hour of video per 4.7 GB DVD, unless you have software that will compress it to fit. -- John Inzer MS Picture It! - Digital Image MVP Digital Image Highlights and FAQs http://tinyurl.com/aczzp Notice This is not tech support I am a volunteer Solutions that work for me may not work for you Proceed at your own risk |
