Vista - This has probably been asked before

But why does vista take so long to generate thumbnail views of images? XP
seems to do this on the fly. Where as Vista chugs along. I realize clearing
the thumbnail cache when doing a system cleanup would have something to do
with this. But the initial generation seems slow.

It's like watching paint dry sometimes. Doesn't seem to have any bearing on
whether or not you've cleaned out the trash/cache or not.

I guess so. I dont look foward to viewing pictures on my vista notebook that
I have stored on my xp mce desktop. Its about as fun as dropping a heavy
object on my toe.
