of Roxio sample products, so I decided to upgrade to Roxio Easy Media Creator
10. It was a BIG mistake.
The product is an absolute nightmare to install, at least under Vista.
Check Roxio support (
http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/WinOnCD/000086CR) ... to
install it you need to install a special Microsoft Windows Cleanup Utility,
edit your registry, stop all startup programs, search your drives for any
trace of previous Roxio or Sonic installations and delete them, and restart
your computer at least twice.
Even THEN, it wouldn't install properly.
Finally, when I returned the disc for a refund (following their
instructions), Roxio sent it back to me, saying the disc had been returned by
the post office. They are REALLY anxious to keep your money.
This has probably been the worst experience I've had with a software
product. Avoid Easy Media Creator at all costs.
