Vista Media Center and Xbox 360 as an extender

I have Vista Ultimate and i am using 360 as an extender. I was wondering if
this was supposed to work the same way as MCE 2005. I was under the
impression that MCE 2005 logged into the MCE server as a sudo remote desktop
connection. I was also under the impression that Vista didnt work that way
but it seems that the 360 is still connectiong via this way. I am just trying
to optimize the system as much as possible.

thanks
GK

Re: Vista Media Center and Xbox 360 as an extender

its a little slow sometimes. so i was wondering if for some reason the 360
thought it was a MCE 2005 system and using the OLD way of connecting. If i
am not mistaken MCE 2005 opened a Remote desktop type of connection. Is that
how vista does it as well?

the computer running vista ultimate is AMD 64 2.2ghz 3gb ram 256 PCI express
video.
