What's wrong with Vista and Gom player?

First of, let me tell you that i am a huge fan of Microsoft, so this
nagging is not ill-meant towards it, but... The very same edition of Gom
player works perfectly well and can play any video format on my previous, non
Vista PC, and my current PC, which is equipped with Vista, crashes the Gom
player program whenever i try to view files like *.mkv or *.vob ... The best
part though, is that when a balloon pops up telling me that there is a
solution available for this problem, that solution never appears, cause i'm
supposed to be, according to the message, not connected to the net. Well
then... However did i post this?

What's the fault bucket:
http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#bucket
? It probably won't be useful data to me since Gom is a third party player,
but might be.

Speaking for myself only.
