Flash Player won't install on Vista 32

I am brand new to Vista having installed it 2 days ago and have been unable
to install Flash Player since installing. Specifics: Vista 32 Home Premium,
clean install, 4 gig RAM, 200 gig hardrive with 254 gig available all
drivers updated to most recent versions from maufacturer websites. When I go
to the Adobe website the Flash Player the site indicates that the Flash
Player has been installed and needs to restart Exploer to complete. When
Explorer restarts Flash Player is not installed. I have done a serach of the
computer and it is not found. Any ideas on what is preventing the
installation or how to make it work would be appreciated

RE: Flash Player won't install on Vista 32

I had this problem 8 months ago when I upgraded to Vista Ultimate.

This was my solution.

Go to this location (you may have to unhide system files to do it):
C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash

Find these files:
flash9b.ocx
Flashutil9b.exe

Change the Security to Everyone and also Your User Account to Full apply and
exit. It should run properly after that.

Flash Player installed for you but you were not properly authorized to use it.

You need to be the administrator or a member of that Group to make these
changes.

I do not know why it happens sometimes but it is definitely an authority
problem as it is installed.

Hope this helps.
