    WMP 11 w/ iTunes

I've just re-downloaded iTunes for the second time and I'm having the same
issue which prompted me to remove it the first time. Once it is all
downloaded and running, I'm no longer able to burn CDs or rip music in WMP,
which is my primary music player. It says either to "connect a burner"
when I try to burn or that "a CD drive is needed in order to rip music from
CDs". I just ripped a CD earlier, right before downloading iTunes, so I know
that this is where the problem stems from. Has anyone else ever encountered
this and if so, what can I do? I need iTunes in order to update my iPod, but
I can't stand not being able to rip or burn CDs from WMP. Help me please!

Try this (iTunes can cause the same problem):

At the moment iTunes is not compatible with Vista although this may change
in the future. Personally I'd ditch iTunes and stick with WMP, it's a good
package. Don't worry about your iPod either,

    Awesome!

I'm definitely going to try that because personally, I like WMP way better
than iTunes. I strictly use iTunes to transfer music over my iPod. So
thanks a lot for that suggestion!
