| | Photo Gallery: Using tags to find photos I really like how the tagging feature in Windows Photo Gallery makes it easy to find all pictures, say, with "John" or "Mary" in them. The problem comes if I want to find the pictures with BOTH John and Mary. If I choose both tags I get pictures that have EITHER tag, which means I get pictures with just John, pictures with just Mary, and pictures with both of them. When I'm searching for something across thousands of photos I'm typically trying to narrow the search down, so it would be more frequently useful if selecting multiple tags showed pictures that had all of the tags. That way I could choose tags "John" and "Mary" and find just the pictures that had the two of them together. As a matter of fact that's how Adobe Photoshop Elements works. I'd rather stick with Photo Gallery if I can, but every time I'm doing a search I wish I were in Elements again, which AND's the tags rather than OR's them. Are there any plans to add this functionality so that photo searches would be easier? |
