Cannot Find ANY Wireless Networks

I am using Windows Vista and I cannot find the wireless network in my home.
In my home there are an additional 4 PCs running XP and a Mac. All of these
see multiple wireless networks from in the area. The diagnosis is that I am
too far out of range. But my roommate has no problem and he is further than
I am from the router. It works fine when it is wired and I can see all of
the computers and the router thru the network map. This is driving me nuts!!
Please someone lend a hand. Thanks!

Ben,

Is the radio on?

Do a WiFi environment analysis, using NetStumbler, if the radio power isn't the
case.
