Fresh Vista can't access some websites, including www.microsoft.co

I reinstalled Vista Business for a few times and the symptom is always the
same. Internet access to some domains(including microsoft.com, adobe.com,
yahoo.com, live.com, etc) seem to be blocked but most are accessible(like
amazon.com, google.com and ebay.com, etc).

It can't be hardware or driver problem because it's able to access most of
the websites.
It can't be the router config problem in my home network because other hosts
in same network are happy. I'm posting this question from another machine in
the same home network.

This issue stop me from using my new desktop computer. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

-Jiaqi

Re: Fresh Vista can't access some websites, including www.microsoft.co

did you format/wipe the machine before reinstalling or did you
install on top of the problematic OS?

Re: Fresh Vista can't access some websites, including www.microsof

Thanks for response. Yes, I reinstalled the OS because I wanted to
re-partition the disk. The partition of OS is always reformatted before
installing.

Re: Fresh Vista can't access some websites, including www.microsof

try unbinding IPv6 in network properties to see if there is any
difference.

if not, this almost sounds like a Browser hijack since DNS is
working. see http://aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm and try hijack this.

Re: Fresh Vista can't access some websites, including www.microsof

I've tried unbinding IPv6 before but it didn't help. I also tried
starting from safe mode, disable firewall or killing processes from task
manager one after another but none of them helped.

I tried several suggestions in link but they didn't help either. Those
suggestions were mostly to clean some mess caused by other softwares,
while my case happens to a fresh OS, or even a fresh OS under safe mode.

Is there any system log or debugging tool that I can look into?

-Jiaqi

Re: Fresh Vista can't access some websites, including www.microsof

No proxy is configured. None of IE, firefox or telnet 80 can get
response. IP is correctly resolved and DNS servers are right, directly
browsing or telnet'ing IP doesn't get response back either.

/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts is clean:

127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost

Although I don't understand the meaning of "::1"

I posted ipconfig /all dump in one of the previous emails. Here it is again:
