| | Internet connection problem. cannt disply web page. I have just bought a new vista pc and have connected it to a Linksys WRT54GC wireless router via ethernet. I have dropped all the security on the router and set the IPv4 ip and dns settings on the pc to that of the router, the pc having its own static ip with only the last octect being different. Network diagnosis states there is nothing wrong with the connection but i cannot display any web pages. The windows firewall is totally off and IPv6 is unticked(OFF). Any help on this would be much appreciated. |

| | Re: Internet connection problem. cannt disply web page. I too am on VM in the UK, I had to clone my Mac address on the router. I also set-up 'obtain IP addess automatically for the connection to VM and an 'alternate IP setting for my work, which has a static IP system in place'. You might also like to try the News Group virginmedia.support.broadband on the news server news.cable.ntlworld.com Hope this helps.
