fix my connection now!!!!!!!

Connection Status Unknown

I am hating Vista right now...I bought a computer from Frys and I brougt it
home and it connected to the internet just fine. Sometime later it decided
to lose sight of the network altogether. I have vista 32bit. My video card
is an nVidia nForce Networking Controller. The driver currently on there is
nvm60x32.sys. After doing some google searching I have found that I am not
the only idiot who decided to try vista out and is having the same problem.
I would like to know how to fix this...God Vista is annoying.

Re: Connection Status Unknown

Do you receive IP 169.254.x.x? Posting back with the result of ipconfig /all
may help.

Re: Connection Status Unknown

I have just encountered this problem after having this laptop for 1.5
years. All of a sudden the internet connection is not found. (I have
wireless thru a linksys wireless router). The driver is nvm60x32 but I
can't seem to figure out a way to re-load it without doing a full
format. If anyone can help me, please advise!!!

Have you tried doing a system restore to a date just prior to when
this began?

sometimes there is a switch or a key combination

Re: Connection Status Unknown

Yes the device (NVIDIA nforce Networking Controller) is enabled and in
Device Manager. I don't know if there are any key combinations but the
switch is in the on position but shows a yellow light (I think before
when it worked it was blue or red)

Re: Connection Status Unknown

type ncpa.cpl in the start menu then hit [enter]

right click each of the connections (one at a time)
then properties (ack the prompt)
are all the boxes checked?
