Vista - Ad-hoc not working anymore

Hello
I have a Vista Desktop (D) and a vista laptop (L). The D has wired
connection to 100mbit without router or modem and it has a WLAN USB card. The
L is supposed to connect to the D via WLAN and get internet through there.

This hasn't worked since i got the laptop in Sept 2007, except when other
laptops are here. When I had a MacBook staying for a week it worked flawless,
when i had an XP laptop i worked but droped out occationally. Now i'm single
again and my lonely L won't connect properly to D.

I'll post ipconfig /all for both machines when they are "connected" to each
other but only with local/limited connection.

ok setup your connections seperately with specified IP's for your ad hoc then
untick allow internet sharing ICS
now bridge ur modem and wireless now take all the specified IP's off so they are all auto now it will work.

ICS is the problem not the solution
