    Files cannot be accessed

We have simple peer to peer witha mix of Vista and XP
Mapped drives can see each other on the network but as soon as you try open
or save a simple Word file from a shared drive over the network it either
hangs or takes forever. Not a firewall issue as far as I can see. If you look
at a network drive in Vista you often see a big red "x" through it but as
soon as you click it you can browse the shared files and view them. It's only
when you try open and save over network

use "net use * /d" command to delete all mapping and re-map it again. Please
    post back with the result.
