Vista doesnt show any wireless network

Everything went ok on my new computer with vista for about 4 months, and all of a sudden one day the internet went down, so I thought it was the wireless receiver, so i got another and found out this wasnt the problem.

It happens that windows doesnt list any of the existing networks as if the receiver didnt work, it says yhe wireless option isnt on and cant seem to turn it on.

I also came across some wlansvc thing which might be the problem but havent found any resource or solution to my problem.

Please help me.

Do you see the wireless signal? If not, this post may help.

Re: Vista doesnt show any wireless network

I dont remember where was it that I came across wlansvc, but yes i think it is not working, i did rome research on the internet and found out some people having my same problem but none have an answer, so decided to ask myself...

About Robert L. \(MS-MVP\)īs I dont understand, On the connections where usualy there were various networks, my own and several from around, now It doesnt even show any, is like somethingīs blocking it because i installed the wireless receiverīs software which has wlan configuration app and it automaticaly shuts down after i open it.

Re: Vista doesnt show any wireless network

I checked and Wlansvc is in fact disabled, it apears so under the proceses in the task manager. I enable it and get the message "windows canīt enable the process", certainly it canīt.

how did this happen, suddenly its processe stop functioning with no apparent reason and it shows them as disabled and does nothing about it,

how can Wlanscv be enabled?
