| | Manage Wireless Networks Does Not Display Preference Order Properl I have discovered that when I wish to re-order my preferred wireless networks in the [Manage Wireless Networks] control panel, the networks do not display in the set order. If I move a network up or down the list, the list display does not refresh to reflect this, although the 'Move Up' and 'Move Down' buttons do. Example, I have 3 wireless network profiles. If I move the middle one up, the 'Move Up' button disappears as it should but the network remains in the middle of the list, even if I close the window and reopen it. |

| | RE: Manage Wireless Networks Does Not Display Preference Order Properl Forgot to add: I am running Vista Business 32-bit with Service Pack 1. Wireless Drivers have been fully updated and all hotfixes have been installed to March 2008. |

| | RE: Manage Wireless Networks Does Not Display Preference Order Pro I have a similar problem, but I am not able to change the sequence to the networks at all. I have tried the move-up/down buttons, I have tried dragging, I have tried the move option on right-click. I have hit the refresh button to see whether it moved but just did not refresh. I can delete networks, but not move them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. "fiish" wrote: Quote: > Forgot to add: > > I am running Vista Business 32-bit with Service Pack 1. | | RE: Manage Wireless Networks Does Not Display Preference Order Pro I have the exact same problem as EJ, running Vista Business 64 bit with Service Pack 1. | | RE: Manage Wireless Networks Does Not Display Preference Order Properl Hello All, I am having the same issue. Here is what I think has happened. Let me know if you have done the same thing. I forced all folders to be the same using the Tools>Folder Options>View Tab>Apply to all folders. One of those choices was sort by name column. I even tried using the "Reset Folder" button and the "restore defaults" options to no avail. The folder seems to be sorted by the name column. I would bet that by default this folder is sorted by the priority column (that is obviously not available). It sure would be nice if someone could tell us how to display the priority of the networks or sort by priority. Any ideas? Does anyone know how to do this by command line? Thanks, Doug "fiish" wrote: Quote: > I have discovered that when I wish to re-order my preferred wireless networks > in the [Manage Wireless Networks] control panel, the networks do not display > in the set order. I am also experiencing this issue, though it has also spread to my "Manage Network Connections" window as well, details of the connections are missing. I had posted here a long time ago an managed to fix it, of course now I can't remember what I did. Any help would be really appreciated. |
