Vista - Connection status:unknown. server execution failed

I am running windows vista home premium and a couple weeks ago i bought a 50
foot cable to rum from my router to my computer and at first i was using a
wireless extender to help extend my network and it had an ethernet port on it
so i just used it for a temperary internet connection and it would recieve
internet but it was slow and would go in and out and the connection would
still say it was working when it was and when it wasn't but when i bought the
cable from best buy and hooked it up i restarted it and it would say the
connection was unavalible. i have no control over the network settings or
connections. All the thing at the bottom says is; Connection Status:unknown.
Server execution failed. this all started when i got the cable but i do not
know why it would happen just from the cable. Oh the internet works fine and
i can get on AIM and the internet and anything that uses internet but as i
said, i have no access of settings or connections. PLEASE HELP. I am running
windows vista home premum and I just bought it at best buy on october 5th
2007. It is an Acer aspire.

You may want to add administrator to local service. This post may help.
