| | Vista Ultimate - have to un/re-plug ethernet cable to get LAN conn I've started having internet connectivity issues...about the same time I reset my wiFi router, our wired LAN connection started bugging out. problem: when I boot computer, it auto connects to LAN labeled "Network 3" but doesn't gain internet access. hack solution on vista: unplug my ethernet cable, plug it back in, and it connects to "Network 2" which _does_ get internet access my wife has same issue with XP system... but for her, i can just "repair" the LAN connection and it works. have you ever heard of something like this? i tried cycling the router power, as well as using the reset button. additionally, i released * renewed the DHCP numbers in hopes that it would do something. Linksys Etherfast Cable/DSL Router: BEFSR81 V3 Network adapter for vista: Intel(R) 82566DC-2 Gigabit Network Connection Not sure what other information might be helpful. Thanks in advance for any help. *thud* |

They don't last forever and even new equipment can fail. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com Don't Panic! |
