Wrong IP assigned

I just purchased a Toshiba Satellite Centrino Duocore machine w/Vista
Premium. I wanted to hook the machine into my work network since I have a
better internet connect at work than home. Everytime I plug in to network,
it is coming up with the wrong IP. In the systray, Toshiba has a configfree
(connectivity doctor) interface. In checking the log, I can see that the IP
is incorrect. It appears there is a numbered log of the different networks
that I have connected to. I can see that my work network IP is incorrect.
When I first booted the machine, I believe that I may have had the wireless
network switch on and that it might have jammed my neighbors router address
into the IP for the network at my office. I have tried IP release in the
Toshiba tools. I deleted the connection in Windows network and sharing
center. The machine connects with no issue to my home plug in network and at
my wife's office. I am not sure why it will not find the IP automatically
and why it continues to see this network as the wrong IP. I am no expert on
networking, but I haven't figured out the problem yet. Any ideas would be
helpful. Thanks in advance.

Re: Wrong IP assigned

Do you receive the 169.254.x.x. IP? It could be the incompatible issue.
Posting the result of ipconfig /all may help or check this troubleshooting
page.
