| | Another XP & Vista networking problem. I have 1 Vista and 2 XP machines connected through a router. I've installed LLPT(?) so that the XPs respond to the Vista and appear on the Vista's map. The Vista is shown in Explorer on the 2 XP machines, and I can transfer files between the machines using the XPs. On the Vista, I can't see the XPs in the Vista's Explorer. On the network map, I can't right click the XP machines and get a context menu. WHOA! I've just got rid of F-Protect (which used to stall during virus scans) and installed Live OneCare, and it's fixed. I can see the XPs on my Vista machine. Sorry to bother you. I've left this in here as this experience may help others. |
