Vista - Hawking HNAS1 problems connecting

I'm using XP, not Vista, but I think the issue will be the same (I
will repost this in an XP group if there is one).

But here's the problem:

The Hawking HNAS1 has a working drive in it. I can point a browser to
it and configure it (with some exceptions, I'll get to that). The
Hawking software sees it and says that all is fine.

But, I cannot map a drive to it. I've tried using the "net use"
command in a DOS window, and I've tried Mapping a Network Drive. The
don't work; it seems I must not have the shares configured properly on
the Hawking.

The manual says (for some reason) that I must add an "Advanced User".
So I go to the "User Configuration" page, but the "Add" button is
greyed out, so something wierd is going on there. I figure that's got
to be taken care of first.

The manual clearly states that it comes with three default accounts,
all with the same username and password (all,guest, power). I tried
the "net use" command from DOS:

net use s: \\I-Drive\share /user:all
Enter the password for 'all' to connect to 'I-Drive':
System error 5 has occurred
Access is denied.

Any ideas? (better group to use?)

Many entry level NAS' do not follow Windows Networking to the letter because
their OS is Not a Windows variant and this have problem with NTFS.
Best is to try Hawking support.
Otherwise, try to map through the Map a Drive menu rather than using the Net
Use command,
Jack (MVP-Networking).
