Terminal Service Fails to Start?

Since installing SP1, I have noticed that I get an error event logged
every time I load with the message:-

"Terminal Service start failed. The relevant status code was The
configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support
personnel."

Yet if I look at the "services" running, the "Terminal Services" appears
to be running. I am running Vista Home Basic and I'm not sure what is meant
here by "support personnel" since I'm the only one using the machine.

Can you connect to this machine remotely over mstsc or switch users?

Congratulations, so you've just used one of your support options

Re: Terminal Service Fails to Start?

I haven't got a second user on the machine, and I can quite easily conect to
another machine via an ethernet cross-over cable and thus to the internet.
I don't normally use any other connection whilest at home, but I have a
couple of dial-up possibilities that I could try.
