| | Vista not able to use shares on network I have had windows vista installed for about 6 months now with out any issues. Yesterday and Today, the shares which are on an AIO server are not accessible to this machine. Keep getting "referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to". Authentication is done by a windows NT box, which appears to be stopping the above from happening. Have rebooted the backup NT servers and the NT box. Short of removing this vista from the domain and rejoining, is there a better, easier way? Thanks |

| | RE: Vista not able to use shares on network Well, after spending a great deal of time on this. Discovered the Vista started validating to one of the Backup NT Servers. Shut that server down and now the Vista can get to the shares. Thought the point of having a backup server was to take over when the primary was down or couldn't reply to the inbound requests in a timely manner. So short of being down a backup server, all seems to be working ok. Sure would like some sort of answer and be able to bring the backup server online again.
