Problems Saving Files in a shared folder Vista/xp

I have two PC's - one Vista Ultiamte and one Xp Home. From the Vista I can
see the folders and files on the XP PC - I can open them - but as soon as I
try and save I get an error - There has been a net work orfile permission
error. The network connection maybe lost. I have shared the folders and
given change permissions also on the XP folders.

I would be really grateful if you can advise anything to try.

Have you also setup permission in the Security tab? Or this link may help.

Vista Permission IssuesCan I assume the external drive used to be connecting
to other computer and you just re-connect it the the Vista? Check the
permission using this command: . ...

Re: Problems Saving Files in a shared folder Vista/xp

I trawled google for some time and came across a lone post suggesting I
disable offline folders - I have done this and the problem is resolved.
