SSO on intranet and VPN Connection

We have setup our intranet (web apps) for single sign-on, IE push windows
login and passwd on access. This works except when connected with a VPN
connection (to an outside server), Vista seems to send the logon and password
of the VPN connection instead of the local Windows account, so the users have
to manuelly re-enter their logon / passwd .
anybody knows how to tell vista to always send local account ?

Posting the results of nslookup and routing table here may help.

I don't think routing has anything to do with it. I can access everything on
my network and on the VPN network. DNS resolution works. I use a packet
analyzer and saw that the ip used to connect to the web server is the one on
my ethernet card. The only thing that doesn't work is the SSO on our
intranet. If I enter manually my login / passwd, I can access the intranet.
