PC slow when connection with internet.

is it plausible to see a list with all applications that use the
network/internet?

this because my pc is very quick when the internet is off, but when I start
my pc and the internet is on, than it is very slow (for example: I had to
wait 30 minutes before I could log in on this site!!!).

it's not because of any firewall/antivirus/antispam/antispyware program,
because I turned them off.

(it started on the 7th this month, when I found out there were some updates
from vista. I even couldn't download them, because everything crashed:
desktop, windows update, taskbar, microsoft word, MSN. Since than it happens
all the time there is an internetconnection)

Look at Receive Windows AutoTuning, which is a problem for Windows Vista with
some (many) home routers.
<http://networking.nitecruzr.net/2007/06/autotuning-in-vista-maybe-not-ready-for.html>
http://networking.nitecruzr.net/2007...ready-for.html

But did the problem start BEFORE the 7th (and interfere with the updates
downloading), or AFTER the 7th (when some but maybe not all updates were
downloaded)? Any chance that you could roll back to before the 7th?

Re: PC slow when connection with internet.

I noticed the problem while downloading, but it can be caused a long time ago.

I tried to undo it with systemrepair (don't know how it's called in english,
but in dutch it is 'systeemherstel'. systemrepair is a litteral translation)

I will try your option with "netsh interface tcp set global
autotuning=disabled" as soon as plausible.

We'll await your findings.

Note the 4 lexicographical variants - "autotuning" vs "autotuninglevel", and
"disabled" vs "off".

Re: PC slow when connection with internet.

What internet reader are you using. I have found a couple of times in
different PC's that internet explorer gets a problem with an "add on" and
resetting it in "Internet Options - Advanced Tab " and click the RESET
button has cured the problem each time.

RE: PC slow when connection with internet.

I found out the whole problem was caused by "CA security center". I
deinstalled it, and now everything works fine again. Thanks everybody.
