| | Connect vista laptop to mac wireless network My vista laptop originally connected to the internet through a mac wireless network, but once i restarted, it will now only connect as a local network and I can't access the internet. If I look at the 'Network and Sharing Center' on the Vista laptop it says that the laptop is connected to the network, which is connected to the gateway, but the gateway is not connected to the internet. At the same time, I have an XP desktop with the same problem, but 3 mac computers can connect to the internet with no problems. Can anyone help with diagnosing this? |

| | Re: Connect vista laptop to mac wireless network Hi john_cena, Thanks for your advice. I have now tried this - on the mac I found the 'router' field (I am told is the default gateway terminology on a mac) and followed your instructions to insert that number in the default gateway field in Vista and XP and both computers are still only connecting to the network locally. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Bea |

| | Re: Connect vista laptop to mac wireless network I have a similar question, I'm able to connect to the wireless "airport" network and internet no problem. I have been unable to get the laptop (vista) to recognize the printer that is connected to the wireless network. Anyone have any ideas? -- lotoja1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ lotoja1's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/88210.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-v...ork/970303.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
