Visit -

It says -

For DI-514 disable bridge mode using an XP machine, it will then work in vista.

I have been using cheap D-Link 524 for at least two years and had no trouble. Just use a two way
software personal firewall to block incoming and outgoing, rather than a hardware router.

Re: D-Link 514

Thanks but I read these topic yesterday. I tried to find and disable bridge

I have my D-Link 524 plugged in directly by RJ-45 to the modem, and that's all. The Laptop runs
Vista Home Premium and it finds the Air-route itself. I wish I knew more.

Re: D-Link 514

I have my D-Link 514 plugged in directly by RJ-45 to the modem too. But does
not work the Wireless conection (only by cable RJ-45).

I have Windows Vista Ultimate and detect my the DI-514 signal in the air but
does not connect.

Appear an "unknown error, try other network available."
