| | shutting down windows vista home basic on laptop connected via wired ethernet to broadband modem router. Works fine, but when I'm finshed, it will not shut down. Shuts down okay when connected wirelessly. It's annoying! |

| | Re: shutting down What won't shut down? Your PC or Internet? If it's internet then unplug the ethernet cable, if it's power on PC then change power management settings. You should be able to access them via screen saver settings page.
