| | no "Additional Drivers" for my printer Hello... I've Xerox WorkCentre PE220 connected to Vista x86 Ultimate PC. I wont to print from another PC on network, running Vista x64 Ultimate. I get "no drivers error"... Tried to solve it by adding this printer as Local Port (\\otherpc \printername) - not worked - no rights Created additional account on x64 machine, with name and password as on x86, and tried to add Local Printer - it worked fine... so I've switched back to original acc. on x64 machine, saw the "printer connected" status, deleted this "same as" account... all print jobs since then got "error" status. Basically, all this can be solved adding "additional driver" for x64 to x86 machine printer driver (network sharing) - but I don't know where to get this driver. May be there is a way to convert regular x64 driver to "additional"? I don't know. I'm looking for solution to be able to print to that network printer and not to have additional account on x64 machine for that. |

| | Re: no "Additional Drivers" for my printer Hi The Driver of the Network available printer has to be installed on each computer that is going to use this printer. The drives has to be compatible wit the version of the OS that is installed on each individual computer. Some Network Printers has also a special control utility that has to be installed on each computer too. | | Re: no "Additional Drivers" for my printer Hi... I've 64bit driver I've downloaded form Xerox site. While trying to install it via "add network printer" on x64 machine and pointing to ".inf" file of downloaded driver, I have error an error "Windows cannot locate a suitable printer driver..." While trying to use same driver as "additional driver" for x64 processor on x86 machine - I have same error. PS downloaded GDI driver from here: http://www.support.xerox.com/go/resu..._US&Xcntry=USA |
