| | Can't stop automatic reconnect to mapped folder I have a small LAN (6PCs with XP Pro and Vista HP). Automatically reconnecting has worked fine but my LAN has just changed, so need to stop reconnecting to a mapped folders (as Z:\ drive). After a few days, I can't figure out how to do it. Examples of things I've tried: 1. Right clicking on the folder in Windows Explorer then choosing Disconnect works until the next reboot (Z:\ drive is right back again); 2. Disconnecting (as 1 above) then re-mapping to the same folder WITHOUT selecting the Reconnect at next Login - Z:\ drive is back again at next reboot; 3. Looking inside Disk Management console doesn't display any mapped drives/folders; 4. I've mapped a different network folder using the same name but the original folder was simply renamed so I now have a new Z:\ drive and the original was remapped as Y:\ drive (I don't want either boo hoo). I can't find any answers on the web (it's all about "How to MAP A Network Folder") but nothing about breaking the automatic reconnection. Can anyone please help me, am very tired and sad (J |
