| | Vista Beta 2 and joining Win2k3 domain problem When attempting to add my Vista workstation to the domain I get an error saying "Not enough storage is available to complete this operation". I do not have access to the servers in the domain and therefore can't make any modifications to them or their registrys. I have modified the IRPStackSize key on the Vista machine to several different values (rebooting each time), in the 15 - 50 range as was indicated in a KB article I found. Nothing has worked. Do I need to get someone from the server team involved? Adding Windows 2000 machines works 100% of the time. Occasionally, this same problem happens to Windows XP Pro workstations, but we've been able to get around it by using the wizard to join the domain (instead of using the manual method through Computer Properties). Neither method works with Vista. Any ideas? |

| | Re: Vista Beta 2 and joining Win2k3 domain problem I tried that. I have the appropriate rights to create computer accounts and join the associated computers to the domain. | | Re: Vista Beta 2 and joining Win2k3 domain problem I tried that already. I have appropriate permissions to create computer accounts and join the associate machines to the domain. Got the same error. When thing I did note was that when it attempts to join the domain and with no pre-created computer account, the computer account is created on the domain. However, the computer account is disabled and the workstation is never joined to the newly created account. I have even tried immediately enabling the account and rejoining the domain again. Nothing works.
