Can't see the other computers on the network.

I have installed Vista on my laptop. The rest of the computers on the network
are windows xp. I can not see any of the computers on the network. Also I
installed the drivers for the printer but I can't print from my laptop. I can
ping the printer and it says that the printer is printing. But it doesn't do
    anything.

    Hello BEH1230,
are the other computers running XP Home? If so, are the workgroups set to
MSHOME instead of WORKGROUP (Vista's default)?

There is a download that is still beta, LLTD for XP. I think it's going
ot be an optional update when it releases.

Gloria: Thank you so much for your responds but I have been there, done
    that, and still no luck.
I have tried so many different things that I am pulling the last little bit
    of my hair out.
    Nothing seems to work.
Thank you again sincerely, and I will try it again
