| | Group Policy Logon scripts Windows vista connected to a 2003 AD domain where XP machines are running the logon scripts without problems and vista will run the script but fails to map the network drives and no indication of error in event logs. In further testing: if you browse to the script location in AD and execute manually the drives map normally at this point all other functions in the scripts perform normally such as printer connections, just the drive mapping does not seem to happen. any suggestions would be helpfull |

| | same problem I have exactly the same problem but its only started since RC2 i think everything worked perfectly in earlier releases, my temporary solution is to add the script as a local logon script (but with the UNC path to the network script) however this is a very tempory solution as it means i have to fiddle with every vista box i use to make it go. prehaps its a UAC problem? | | UAC Yeah ive turned off UAC and now the drive mapping works perfectly, so im guessing that either logon scripts are attempting to run but being blocked by UAC, im not sure how to get around this without losing UAC EggHeadCafe.com - .NET Developer Portal of Choice http://www.eggheadcafe.com |
