LEAP authentication on Vista

is there a patch for Vista Ultimate that allows LEAP (not PEAP) authentication?

Re: LEAP authentication on Vista

Probably not, since Cisco (the folks who created LEAP) are dropping their
support for it also.

Re: LEAP authentication on Vista

That's going to be a problem...at least in my world...approx 4K users using
LEAP on WLAN's....what's Cisco's response? Buy new stuff?

I called Cisco recently as they bought Meetinghouse (which had the Aegis client that was *going* to support LEAP in Vista) but they're dead ending the product and no longer have any plans to support Vista. My company is looking at writing one for a customer that wants LEAP support for their device. Time will tell. It's unfortunate that there are users forced to use LEAP when much, much better security exists.
