DNS problem

I have a small problem with DNS.
Everything works great and sometimes suddenly everything what needs DNS
response stops working. It is the latest build, Windows Update on,
everything is up and activated. Firewall is disabled. The Internet works
fine but as i said after some time several hours or days (I have this
windows for quite a short time, so it happend only about 3 or 4 times but it
is definitely a Vista bug as it never happened before) it still works but
when some app need an IP address from a host it does not get the DNS
response with the IP. Does anybody know how to fix it?
