| | WXP Pro machines accessing Vista machine on workgroup Anybody know how to allow above? My XP machines on the workgroup can SEE the drives I've enabled sharing (with full access/permissions) for on the Vista Ultimate (RTM) machine but these machines CAN'T access/open add/remove/etc. files on the Vista machine. I've made the obvious changes in Security Policy applet......... I'm sure it's something simple and I'll kick myself when someone points this out to me. Jim |

What exactly happens when they do it? If there are error messages, what do they say? -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see. | | Re: WXP Pro machines accessing Vista machine on workgroup Are you trying to access drives or shares? If it's the admin shares like c$ then this may be the solution. http://www.jimmah.com/vista/net/filtertoken.aspx There may also be something useful here. http://www.jimmah.com/vista/net/nopassword.aspx Some more details of exactly what you are trying to do would be helpful. -- Kerry Brown Microsoft MVP - Shell/User http://www.vistahelp.ca "DCELL" <DCELL@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B6477523-8974-4DED-BE4E-5187523BDF2C@microsoft.com... > Anybody know how to allow above?
